To the media: don’t trust the exit polls
Over the years, I have had many Letters to the Editor printed in the USA Today. All have been edited. For a couple, the editing has changed the main point of my letter. I submitted the following letter today. Apparently, election eve exit polls are not an important topic for the USA Today.
The 2000 Florida Presidential fiasco can be laid at the feet of the media’s faulty predictions. We can not stand bad predictions this year. Calling a state must be based on actual vote counts not on only exit polls. The exit polls are going be extreme faulty this year.
Many will say they voted for Obama when they didn’t. Some will say they voted for McCain when they didn’t. We can’t have the media making a prediction then 30 minutes later have them issue Gilda Radner’s famous SNL line “nevermind”.

And though there is worldwide criticism of Washington's policies, the core values of the United States are highly respected and will allow it to turn around the dramatic decline in its global standing. The rest of the world would certainly embrace a less fearful and more open post-9/11 America. Choosing Barack Obama, a symbol of hope, would do more to restore the image of the United States in the world than anything else. A rejection of the promise he represents would be a symptom of that nation's historical decline.

Obama’s Chicago: Vote early and vote often
I voted today at the Access Chicago building a half an hour before closing. I like Chicago’s early voting and the electronic machines. They asked for a government photo id and it looked like the computer records got marked that I voted. And while I found the touch screen easy, they had a worker eager to help voters. He seemed to just want to make sure their votes got counted.
They had about 15-20 machines in anticipation of big early voting. They moved early voting to a larger room so they could double the number of machines. When I was there, half the machines were empty. And while 90% of the voters were white, that may not mean much in a one party town like Chicago. In 2000, Gore got 80% in Chicago.
If you want your location to have touch screen voting, your election commision should check out Chicago’s early voting machines. I don’t know their cost or breakdown rate. After voting, you have to review an electronic summary of your votes. Then you have to verify each page of the paper backup of the votes. Then your vote is registered.

Obama, Hawaii and universal healthcare (obamacare)
"Universal healthcare must not be a question of whether, it must be a question of how," B.O. said. "We have the ideas, the resources and now we need the will. There is no reason why we can't accomplish that."
Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched.
Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.
"People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program."
Of course it wasn’t the intent but it was the expected results.
If the government is going to pay for healthcare, why wouldn’t companies and individuals stop paying for it?

First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.
I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.
We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.
Up to 7 US Supreme Court Justices will be replaced.

Obama (Robbing Hood), your money and "Joe the Plumber"
Look. It's Robbing Hood and his next victim, Joe the Plumber!
The star of last night's debate was not Obama, or McCain or even Schieffer. It was Joe the plumber. Joe Wurzelbacher (shown at a recent Obama rally) is a plumber from Ohio. He was mentioned 15 times by Sen. McCain and 5 times by Sen. Obama.
In “Joe the Plumber”’s conversation with Mr. Obama, who walked house-to-house on Shrewsbury Street, Mr. Wurzelbacher told the Democratic candidate, "I'm being taxed more and more for fulfilling the American Dream."
As part of his reply, Mr. Obama said, "It's not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too.I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
Outrage over Mr. Obama's phrase "share the wealth" has turned up in conservative Internet discussions since then. "Some people interpreted his remark as sort of like Robin Hood-ish, Joe, that it was a redistribution of wealth-taking from guys like you to help people who are not as well off as you," Mr. Cavuto said during his show.
Robin Hood may have robbed the rich to give to the poor but Obama is robbing the rich of their own money that would be used to create jobs.
I have heard several small businessmen say Obama’s $3,000 job tax credit is a joke. It is worthless to them. They also said they are making plans on layoffs in anticipation of a President Obama's huge tax increases.
The partisan press and democrats are attacking Joe the Plumber to distract you from BO, Robbing Hood!

Obama, Palin, the economy and Walmart Diapers
Sarah Palin surprised shoppers at a Gallipolis, Ohio Wal-Mart on Sunday when she made a stop there to pick up some needed items. She shopped in the store holding her youngest son, Trig, and followed by her secret service and a handful of photographers.
Shoppers reported that they were happy to get the opportunity to meet the Governor in person. They reported she is down to earth, engaging, lacked ego and treated people with respect.
When was the last time Obama or Biden went into a Walmart when it wasn’t a photo-op?
Obama or Palin? Who knows the ecomony the way the Walmart shoppers see the economy?

BO (obama), the economy and Trickle Up Poverty
Dave Ramsey was on CNN this morning and said the market is tanking because investers are anticipating an Obama presidency. He also said it didn’t help McCain to say the government would buy failed mortgages. I have noticed that ever since Obama has held his steady lead in the polls, the market has been diving. Yesterday, Jim Cramer said that people that will need their money in the next 5 years should get out of the market. I heard other economists say the same thing.
Hats off to ultra ultra right wing nutbag Michael Savage for “Trickle Up Poverty”.
Except with a BO presidency, it won’t be a trickle. The trickle will be a Katrina Levee breach.

Revisiting the stupid theory: “Bush blew up the NO levees during Katrina”.
DISCOVERY Channel and others have done scientific documentaries on how the New Orleans levees failed during Katrina. Yet several times a week, liberal nutbags read my first post on “Farrakhan: Bush blew up the N.O. levees”.
If President Bush wanted NO to flood, they would have used enough explosive to make sure it happened. Watch the Mythbusters video starting around the 4 minute mark and remember the explosions would be next to the levees.
Since the democrats (Nagan and the state) didn’t evacuate the people, there would have been many witnesses.

Obama and the third Jihad
The Third Jihad is a documentary that alerts Americans to the danger radical Islam poses to the United States and to Western civilization as a whole. The film spotlights radical Islam's war against liberal ideas, its violent, anti-democratic agenda as well as its human and civil rights abuses against women, blacks, homosexuals, Christians and moderate Muslims.
The third Jihad is also a threat to our freedoms.
The first jihad was islam taking over the middle east. The second jihad was an expansion of islam. The third jihad is world domination. Liberal christians in UK and Europe are allowing their polical correctness to help the third jihad spread Shria Law. Either thru violence or with the “help” of liberals, the third Jihad will have Shria law replace our constitution.
Addressing a large crowd behind a podium with a Nation of Islam Saviour's Day 2008 sign, Louis Farrakhan proclaims,
"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking. Brothers and sisters," Farrakhan said, "Barack Obama to me, is a herald of the Messiah. Barack Obama is like the trumpet that alerts you something new, something better is on the way."
The Obama campaign’s Muslim outreach director participated in a meeting in mid September that was attended by several controversial Muslim activists, NBC News has learned. The Obama campaign now concedes that was a misjudgment, and that its top Muslim staffer would not have attended the meeting if she had known the full participant list beforehand.
On September 15, newly named Muslim outreach director Minha Husaini spoke to a small group of Muslim leaders and potential Obama supporters at a hotel in Springfield, Virginia, several meeting participants and the campaign said. Two other Obama-affiliated Democratic Party workers joined Husaini and also spoke to the crowd. Some Virginia and Washington, D.C.-based Muslim activists and interested citizens attended, and flyers were passed out from “Arab Americans for Obama” stating Sen. Obama’s goals for achieving peace in the Middle East, protecting the civil liberties of Arab Americans and ending the war in Iraq.

UK Gun Control Failures: Week of Oct. 11, 2008
While England has some of the strictest national gun control laws, here is this week's list of UK violence that the laws didn't stop:
A man killed inside a nightclub in south London was shot once at close range, police have said. The 24-year-old victim was found with gunshot wounds at the SE1 club in Weston Street, Bermondsey, early on Sunday morning.
Police have begun a murder inquiry into the death of a man in a 'vicious attack' in Warwickshire. The victim was found on Royal Oak Lane, Bedworth, on Sunday night. He died in the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton in the early hours of Monday.
A man was left with multiple stab wounds after being set upon by a group of people in a West Midlands street.
THE high street retailer TK Maxx has been forced to withdraw a walking stick from sale (again) after it was found to conceal a 20-inch sword. The blade was discovered by a customer, and the company said its product buyers had been unaware that the 35-inch 'artisan' wooden staff contained a weapon.
A high-street clothing store has withdrawn a range of jackets containing a concealed knife after concerns they could be used for crime. TK Maxx said that it had removed the Swiss-branded coats, which came with a knife attached by a chain, as soon as it became aware of them. The £59 hooded jackets have an internal pocket to store the knife, which has a blade 2? inches (6.3cm) long.
A chef who fatally stabbed his gay lover carved off part of the dead man's thigh and seasoned it with fresh herbs before frying the flesh in olive oil.
The surviving members of a robbery gang whose crime spree only ended when their mastermind, Mark Nunes, was shot dead by police, were convicted today.
A man was killed and another seriously injured in a double shooting outside a pub, police said today. The victims, both aged 42, were targeted at the Waldorf bar in Glasgow city centre last night.
The rise in knife and gun crimes is often gang related and these gangs have their roots in the broken homes of children. Gangs may be brutal, with its perverse code centered on violent crime, but for many it fills a gap in their lives. Small wonder then that in the past five years there has been an 89 per cent increase in under-16s admitted to hospital with serious stab wounds.
Criminals from the north of Edinburgh have allegedly got their hands on a machine gun, believed to date from the Second World War, as well as ammunition. In turn, the gang – who are involved in the heroin and cocaine trade – are said to be fearful of reports that their rivals in the Inch area have acquired a Mac 10, an automatic weapon. The Mac 10 fires 33 rounds in less than two seconds and at less than a foot long, is easily concealed.

Barack Obama has made clear that an individual right to bear arms does not mean that the state or federal government cannot constrain that right.
Gun control laws are considered the solution but don't address the problem – the violence and crime. While it is easier to kill with a gun, UK is considering a knife registry and ban on samurai swords. Why? Because the reason for crime and violence has not been addressed.Obama is Jimmy Carter 44!!

"James CARVILLE: Let me be clear, I said you can call the dogs and light the fire and leave the house. I think it sounds over.
Now let me be clear here, if Obama goes in this race with a 5- point lead and losing this election, the consequences are -- bull, man. I mean I don't think that's going to happen, but I think David it's a point to bring up.
But you stop and contemplate this country if Obama goes in and he has a consistent five point lead and loses the election, it would be very, very, very dramatic out there."
There was a recent poll that said a large number of white democrats will NOT vote for Obama. When Obama loses, I would like to see someone do a study of ultra blue areas like Chicago. Show in highly democratic area how many voted for McCain. Show in predominately black areas how many voted for McCain.

Would a President Obama prevent the US Supreme Court justices from attending the Red Mass?
The law is a guide to an orderly society, an American cardinal said an a church service Sunday that included five Supreme Court justices ahead of the start of their new term. At the annual Red Mass, Cardinal John Patrick Foley told an audience of government officials, ambassadors, academics and members of the capital's legal community about his decision to attend seminary rather than law school. Four of the five Roman Catholics on the high court — Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas — came to worship at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle; the fifth, Justice Samuel Alito, did not attend. They were joined by Justice Stephen Breyer, who is Jewish. The name of the service, which dates back centuries and is conducted to ask for guidance for those who seek justice, comes from the red vestments worn by the celebrants. The service traditionally is held the day before the Supreme Court's new term.

Obama on "cap and trade" for power plant polluction
Obama has a progressive position on climate change and supports an economy-wide cap-and-trade system with permits being mainly auctioned. He and his campaign know that this will be an international priority in 2009, because of Copenhagen, but it is not clear how far an Obama Administration would try or be able to get with domestic leglislation early in his term.
I am going to form the Rud U.M.B. Electric Co. We won’t actually produce any power so we have the maximum carbon credits to auction off. And when other power companies buy our excess carbon credits, global warming will be well on it’s way to being solved.
