The government attacks chocolate smell

I was reading the Beaufort (,SC) Gazette and on the front page, it had a story on Chicago’s Blommer chocolate factory. They take the raw cocoa beans and make the chocolate other companies use.

When I lived on the west side of downtown in an apartment in Presidential Towers, my apartment would fill up with the wonderful smell of chocolate. This was when the windows were open and the breeze was from the north. However someone who hates chocolate reported Blommers to the EPA.

While there may have been excessive amount of cocoa dust, you can’t totally stop the smell. And as local bakeries have been cited by the EPA for excessive bread smell, you can’t totally stop the smell of baking bread.

If you don’t like the smell of chocolate or baking bread, move.
